The Big Texan Motel - Amarillo

The location was awesome, the staff was kind. Overall it was nice, with a private bathroom.

Great and absolutely perfect location next door to the Texan steakhouse, nice pool. Also - near to the restaurant parking in the spots for the people staying in the motel, the center of the parking lot, and the steak house was amazing.

Beds were not so good.

Location - favourable, right by the steakhouse, restaurants and shops, shops. Plenty of goodies for breakfast.

I loved the country cowboy theme and how clean and cozy everything felt. The steak at the nearby restaurant was juicy and just fantastic! Check-in was really easy with the electronic code, too.

Stayed for 1 night and was impressed by this low-budget hotel. There were a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a microwave oven and a refrigerator in the room, liked that. The bed was very comfy and I had a private bathroom. The location was marvellous and comfy - near restaurants, California, the establishment.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Big Texan during my family's road trip. The western-themed decor added a fun touch, and the spacious, clean room exceeded our expectations. While some traffic noise was noticeable, the good food next door made it worthwhile. Great value for the money!

Checking in was so easy, they even texted me the door code which was a nice touch after a long drive.

Wasn't exactly a bargain but still worth it.

Cowboy-themed decor adds a unique charm that makes the place feel like stepping into a western film. Room 212 featured vintage skulls and rustic elements, inviting atmosphere.

The bed offered two pillows that were overly thick and firm. The shower control had poor labeling. It took a while to figure out hot versus cold, leading to unnecessary frustration. Some maintenance details, like the visible white silicone repairs in the bathtub, suggested a need for more attention to detail.

The room was clean, but the toilet had a small running problem.

How about some staff presence during check-in and check-out!!! Seriously, not having anyone on-site for assistance was frustrating!!! The lack of decent bathroom amenities.
